Through a partnership with the Community Health Council of Wyandotte County, a Community Health Worker will have office hours inside Edwardsville City Hall beginning Friday, October 14. After that, workers will be stationed at Edwardsville City Hall every Tuesday from noon until 4:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM until noon. Bilingual CHW Karla Sevilla will be stationed inside the Training Room (located on the west side of the City Hall building) and will be offering assistance in the following areas:
- Healthcare navigation: help find the right resources to provide care for you and your family
- Community resources: helps gain access to community resources for food, housing, or other necessities
- Health services: helps find affordable healthcare facilities and medications in Western Wyandotte County
- Health benefits: helps applications for Medicaid, private insurance, etc.
Other resources for maternities and families are also to be provided. If Karla cannot help you, she is committed to finding you the resource that will!
