Friends University will host a First Friday gallery reception for the show, Prints by the Tallgrass Prairie Press Printmakers, on Dec. 2 from 5-7 p.m. The seven printmakers to be featured will be Doug Billings, Becka Jahelka, Carlene Williams, Connie Cofer, Susan Fox, Lynda Medlock and Wyatt McCrea.
Tallgrass Prairie Press Printmakers is a group of contemporary local artists who have chosen to focus their artistic abilities in producing hand pulled original prints. It was founded by Friends University printmakeing professor, Doug Billings.
The show will be on display in the Riney Fine Arts Gallery until Jan. 28 and online at rineygallery.com.
The exhibit is sponsored in part by KMUW, Wichita’s National Public Radio member station.
