The National Weather Service issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Kansas City, Kansas, this week.

The forecast has been updated substantially. The snow has changed to a rainy mix, with rain expected to be on and off through the afternoon today. The main concern is elevated surfaces like bridges which could become slick if moderate bursts of snow and cold appear. Street temperatures should rise above freezing by 9 AM. The total anticipated snowfall is now trace to a dusting.

According to the latest forecast, Kansas City, Kansas, should expect between .5 and 1.5 inches of snowfall. Street surface temperatures will continue to decline tonight. Snowfall will accumulate beginning Monday morning between 6 AM and 8 AM. The snow is expected to taper off between 2 PM and 4 PM.
This will be a slushy snow, with higher accumulations on elevated surfaces like bridges. The Snow Crew is on duty monitoring conditions and will pre-treat elevated surfaces tonight.
Tomorrow's commute could become slick in some areas, so remember to slow down, drive with caution, and give the Snow Crew plenty of room to work safely while you're out.
